HyprFab is a modular enclosed line for surface-mount (SMT) prototypes, developed by Newmatik GmbH in Hennweiler, Germany. Paste, place and reflow are each an enclosed module, built to stand in a row. Boards move through them on one conveyor and stay inside the line from paste through reflow. A short line is paste, one place module and reflow; a longer line adds place modules between them.
HyprFab is designed as code. The mechanics are written in build123d, the electronics in KiCad 10, and every part is built, checked against the interface contract and rendered by the project's CI. The hardware is to be published under CERN-OHL-W-2.0 and the software under Apache-2.0 and MPL-2.0; these licences are proposed and not yet in force.
HyprFab is in design. No module has been fabricated yet. Newmatik GmbH assembles SMT boards in Hennweiler and builds the software around that work.
